Parenting Teenagers Course
A course for parents over six Monday evenings in the autumn, starting 22nd September 2008, 7:45 - 10:00 p.m.
Sometimes it may feel that your teenage, or imminent teenage children, are living in another world! This course is based on proven material and the belief that it is possible for parents to retain a guiding hand in their teenagers' lives, whilst learning to give them the space they need to stretch their wings and fly.
The series of six short talks and helpful exercises aim to give you greater insight, options and peace of mind. These include:
Communication - picking up the signals
Foundations - encouraging a healthy self-esteem
Boundaries and battlefields
Security, sex and substances
Consumerism, cash and cyberspace
Parenting Teenagers
REGULAR EVENTS
Tiny Tots
For adults with toddlers. Drink and biscuits followed by short act of worship.
Weekly on Wednesday during term time at 10:15 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes.
Junior Church
Every Sunday except first Sunday of the month.
Wednesday Club
Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m.
